More of The OG Air Jordan 1: Pine Green & Court Purple in September
If we were to rank sneaker brands in 2018 based on a variety of colorways, styles, and number of releases, Jordan Brand would definitely win. There hasn’t been a month so far in 2018 where Jordan brand didn’t have a release. It kicked off with the Air Jordan 1 Gold Toe and moved to the Bred Toe, Homage to Home, shattered backboard and 2 more Off Whites. Now, Jordan fans are waiting for the Air Jordan 1 Pine Green and Court Purple to drop in September.
After releasing the highly-coveted “Best Hand in The Game” Air Jordan 1 collection, news about 2 new colorways of the AJ1 got out. A Pine Green and a Court Purple iterations are set to release on September 22nd, 2018.
Air Jordan 1 Pine Green
Sporting the same Black Toe aesthetic as the previous collection, the sneaker’s leather uppers are dressed in green and black patches. While footwear white covers the side panels and midsoles. More distinctive details include the wings logo on the outer ankles and Nike Air branding on the tongue.
Air Jordan 1 Court Purple
As for the Court Purple pair, it offers the same features as the Pine Green except for the colorway. This pair offers vibrant, royal purple highlights on the toe box, heel, ankle, and outsole. You can also see Court Purple covering the Nike Air branding tag on the tongue of the shoe. The outers offer white accents with the finishing details like the Swoosh logo and laces showing up in black.
Now if you’re thinking about reselling and making money, well these aren’t the best option. Everyone in the sneaker community knows that Air Jordan 1s are made to be worn and flaunted. You have other alternatives that can make you more money, even more than Yeezys. So cop the Pine green or Court Purple only if you’re a real sneakerhead, and know the sentimental value of Jordans. And for that value only, you should know that copping without a bot, will probably be impossible. So you better refresh your memory and get your copping skills warmed up.
The release date for both pairs is, for now, Saturday, September 22nd, 2018. The retail price to expect is the usual for any Retro AJ1, $160 USD. You can buy it now at Stadium Goods and StockX at resale prices of course. Or you can wait for it to drop over at Nike and some select retailers. Read on for the Early Links.
